It's a bitterly cold Monday here, and my house is so quiet with no one here but me. It's actually kind of nice ;) So while everyone else is off at work and school, I did a little creating. I made this card for my stash and it conveniently fits in with Laurie's challenge over on Hiding in my Craft Room, which is to use your scraps. I had cut out the shaped layer from the Elegant Edges cartridge a few weeks ago when I was just trying some cuts out. The background is a really old piece from my scrap box. The sentiment is a Rub-on from KaiserCraft that seemed to fit the bill. I used Harmonie glitter in the butterfly cut, and then went over it with Ranger's Glossy Accents. Some twine, button brads and a little faux stitching with my white gel pen and tada, a pretty simple card is born. I'm hoping it will kick-start me into some more projects.

Cardstock: Bazzill
PP: DCWV
RubOns: Kaiser
Cricut Cartridge: Elegant Edges (Butterfly2 & Shadow @ 3 1/4 inches)
Twine: Jillibean Soup Bean Stocks
Other: Brads (Making Memories), Glitter (Harmonie), Ranger Glossy Accents, Signo Uniball White Gel Pen

Oh I like this one a lot! Love that background paper and the way you centered the image/sentiment in the middle. Just perfect! Also thought that was real stitching on here....great!

What a crisp and clean card, Dixie! I really like the stitched accent around the frame, too. Hope you are staying warm...we are actually supposed to have near-record high temps down here this week. This crazy weather! :)
I always like that quiet after the weekend of craziness :) Your card is beautiful love the front and the colors with the twine.
I really like this card, its easy to make and has butterflies.
